Mighty RAWR Butter

Happy Friday! You know what that means...time for another recipe! This nut butter is one of my favourites; you'll always find a jar in my fridge! The inspiration came from the delicious Tierra Farms Mixed Nut Butter, except mine uses raw cashews instead of roasted. Try `em both!

Mighty RAWR Butter
Makes 1/2 cup
  • 1/3 cup raw cashew pieces
  • 1/3 cup raw whole almonds
  • scant 1/2 cup raw pecan pieces
  • very small pinch sea salt

Add nuts & salt to blender and blend on high for 90 seconds, stopping halfway through to scrape down the sides.

Hazelnut Dream Butter

Our first recipe is for everyone who loves hazelnuts! It makes a delicious substitute for Nutella. Naturally sweeter nut butters like this one are particularly good on sourdough bread.

Hazelnut Dream Butter
Makes 1/2 cup
  • 1/3 cup raw cashew pieces
  • 1/3 cup raw whole almonds
  • 1/3 cup roasted whole hazelnuts

Add nuts to blender and blend until smooth, warm, and spreadable.

The Nut Has Been Cracked!

Welcome to Nut Butter Nut! 

Nut butter is delicious swirled into some oatmeal, dolloped on top of Greek yogurt or ice cream, spread on toast (make it nutty avocado toast!), or snuck from the jar with a spoon.

Fancy nut butters are very popular right now–plain ol' peanut butter has become almond butter has become chocolate chai butter. Armed with a blender or food processor, you can make your own artisanal creations!
